Data centers

InterServer has five data centers. Out of 5 data centers, four are in Secaucus, NJ, and one is in Los Angeles. Hostgator has a data center in Provo and Houston.

Shared hosting

Hostgator offers two Windows hosting packages – Personal and Enterprise. The Personal subscription supports one website, and it costs 4.76/month. The Enterprise plan costs 14.36/month and supports five websites. Personal and Enterprise servers have unlimited disk storage memory and bandwidth. They also let users install an SSL certificate. The Enterprise server comes with a dedicated IP address. HG Windows hosting subscriptions allow users to create unlimited email IDs and offer the latest Plesk control panel. They are enabled with hotlink protection and let users manage redirects with a GUI.

Interserver ASP.NET hosting pack costs 8.50 dollars per month, and they support 25 websites. Its users enjoy free website migration service, and their sites are hosted on a Windows server powered by SSD. They can also create unlimited email addresses. InterServer offers only root access to the users. Hostgator VPS users don’t get root access, but they come with features that its counterpart’s VPS plans don’t provide. For example, if you buy an HG cloud plan, you can create unlimited email addresses. You will have access to SpamAssassin-protected inbox. HG will also create backups of your site automatically. InterServer provides a paid backup service.

Hostgator cloud platform supports PHP, CGI, Perl, Python, and Ruby on Rails programming languages. As you have root access to IS VPS, you can install any programming language of your choice.

Hostgator offers three website builder packages – Express Start, Express Site, and Express Store. The Start pack costs 3.84 per month, and it lets users launch and manage a 3-product online store. The Site subscription enables you to build an eCommerce store with up to 10 products, and it is priced at 5.99/month. This plan comes with Priority support and an Appointment booking system.
